New local services available

Ely and Wisbech Community Diagnostic Centres

We are pleased to announce that the Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) in both Wisbech and Ely are now operational. These centres are designed to provide patients with quicker access to diagnostic tests within their local area.

The Ely site serves as a hub, offering a wide range of services including MRI, X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound, Fibroscan, Phlebotomy, Respiratory Testing, and Telederm. The Wisbech site acts as a spoke, currently providing Ultrasound, Respiratory Testing, and Fibroscan services.

The Community Diagnostic Centre at Ely, on the Princess of Wales site, has the capacity to see patients for phlebotomy appointments to support your practice. For an appointment, please ask the patient to call 01223 808522 or 01223 808892. Appointments are available between 08:00 – 16:50, Monday to Friday.

Please bring your blood request form to the CDC, Princess of Wales Hospital, Lynn Road, Ely CB6 1DN- we cannot take your bloods without the printed request form with labels.

The CDC does not accept walk-in patients- please book in advance.

Newmarket Road Park and Ride Phlebotomy Service

The “drive through” phlebotomy service at Newmarket Road Park and Ride site continues to be open to support General Practice to provide Phlebotomy Services. The site is open 09:30 – 16:30 Monday – Friday (closed on Bank Holidays) Please note:

· Patients must be 16 and over.

· Patients must be in a car no walk ins or cycles.

· They are unable to do any tests that require to be on ice or specific timings.

· Patients must bring a request form.
