COVID VACCINE AND INFECTION INFORMATION – and resources to help with recovery if you’ve been infected with the Covid virus.

To date, the number of people vaccinated in the Huntingdon Sapley & Oxmoor area = 71% have had their first dose, 66% have had a second dose and 48% have had a booster jab. The Covid virus hasn’t gone away and is still making some people very unwell and struggling to recover, particularly those who haven’t been vaccinated. The rate of infections in this area is higher than the England average with increasing numbers catching this air-borne virus more than once as it mutates.

Having the vaccine is quick and relatively painless for most people as it’s just a jab in the upper arm. It’s still available to everyone who wants to take this up, even if they haven’t had a first jab, or are still in need of a booster. There is a walk-in service at the Oaktree Centre daily from 8.30am to 4pm or patients can book a slot at any of the centres using this link

For people who have been infected and struggling to cope, there are useful resources at this website.
