PATIENT HELPDESK.

The Covid19 pandemic has caused added strain on all NHS services and hospital and community waiting list times for outpatient appointments and procedures have increased for everyone. This can cause worry and uncertainty for patients about when they will eventually get an appointment.
Unfortunately, although GP staff refer patients for specialist care and treatment, we don’t have any direct access to hospital waiting lists and this information can only be obtained from the hospitals themselves. A new Helpline has been set up to answer queries patients have about their predicted wait times, etc.
If you’ve been referred by us and are waiting for an outpatient appointment (either first or follow-up), an appointment for hospital tests (eg. scans), a date for your operation or other treatment and you have a query about what is happening, please contact the new Patient Helpdesk on 0800 048 5800 and someone will be able to help with your query or concern. This is a Freephone number and you will not be charged for the call.
Only call the Practice if your condition has genuinely deteriorated so we can review you and take any necessary action. Otherwise please ring the Helpdesk 0800 048 5800 which is open Mon-Fri 9am – 5pm.
