Our mission statement is ‘Listening, learning, improving and caring’.
The Acorn Surgery Patient Participation Group (PPG) was originally established in 2007. Within the PPG we have two established groups – the Acorn Patient Team (APT) who meet face to face on a monthly basis at the Practice and the other, known as the Patient Reference Group (PRG) - a virtual group who communicate mainly via email and whose views are sought by the Practice on a range of matters.
Membership is open to all patients registered with the Practice. The Group's aim is to break down barriers and improve communication and information sharing between patients and the surgery and to work with the staff teams as their ‘critical friend’.
Your APT presently consists of a group of around 10 members who are patients at this Practice. The Team works voluntarily to provide a two-way communication between patients and staff and also supports the Practice by improving services provided to patients. We have an excellent working relationship with the Practice Manager who acts as a link to the Practice partners and staff on all relevant issues related to the Surgery. We would very much welcome additional members to join us, especially patients with young families and those who represent the ethnic and cultural diversity that the Practice enjoys. If you are interested in joining the APT and feel that you can contribute in any way to our work, please come along to our next meeting, contact our Practice Manager on 01480 483100 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The group meets the 3rd Monday of each month. Currently we have virtual meetings due to the pandemic.
We are pleased to be affiliated to the National Association of Patient Participation(N.A.P.P) www.napp.org.uk

If you are happy for us to contact you occasionally by email please click the link below to open the sign-up form and complete all the fields.
