The countdown to Armed Forces Day has officially started!

Armed Forces Day is a day to recognise the courage, dedication, and professionalism of our armed forces. As a nation we continue to be indebted to those who serve in our armed forces and to the veterans whose service we will never forget and always honour.

The Day itself follows a week of events and activity taking place across the country to highlight all areas of our Armed Forces community, from current serving personnel and their families to veterans, and the Cadet Forces.

To mark the start of Armed Forces Week, flags are officially raised at a number of prominent locations across the country, including at a special ceremony by the host of the National Event.
